For Antoine Lim, highlighting Liza Monet in this new issue of Magazine Uniform was an obvious choice; she embodies the desire to transcend conventional norms and push boundaries yet even further.
Our editorial shines light on Liza, a strong and beautiful woman, an artist who challenges traditional social norms and expectations and who isn’t afraid of being judged.
The society has always labeled people: vulgar, inappropriate, the list goes on… But what do these words even mean? Everyone has their own personal definition. Yet Liza showed us what it means to be free of those labels, to not care about what others think.
By having Liza Monet as our cover girl, we examine what the fashion community now considers as trendy or/and acceptable. There are still many barriers to break when it comes to fashion and mindset; not much has changed because even today it is still expected of women to be able to fit into size 0 garments.
Be the coming wind of change. It wasn’t easy to find clothes over size 36, or even brands to collaborate with on this editorial shoot. These struggles make us proud to finally present to you Liza Monet for Uniform.
